Widnes Tank Container Services Ltd was formed in 1986 after in depth market research conclusively proved necessity for a first class tank container repair depot in the North West of England. By employing skilled and experienced staff and offering a quality service W.T.C.S has enhanced its reputation all over the world. We have a performance record, which has surpassed our own expectations. We pride ourselves in providing such high standards as to give our clients the peace of mind that is crucial when sending their serviced, repaired and modified equipment to destinations across the globe. Since our inception over 100,000 units have passed through our depot and many of our customers have been with our company since our inauguration, of which is testimony to our strong commitment to customer care.
Our development process over 19 years has witnessed the fourfold expansion of our workshops and development of purpose built offices thus allowing us to make further specialised and substantial progress.
The combination of a 24 hours service and fully trained experienced personnel enables W.T.C.S to ensure a quick and efficient turnaround of customer equipment.
Stringent quality control and methodical documentation are enforced by the company's accreditation of the ISO 9001 and our scope specifically declaring our specialty of tank containers, road tankers and IBC's. In addition to in-service repair, W.T.C.S also offer full refurbishment, modification test and internal cleaning and steam and electrical heating, plus various manufacturing and fabrication work. Our main 7,000 square foot workshop is fully equipped with overhead crane, rotators and all modern welding equipment and machinery.
Our development of a further three workshops allows us to perform blasting, painting and re skinning along with repairs and modifications to road tanks and IBC's. We carry out the 2½ and 5 year pressure testing of tanks daily of which, can be witnessed by any of the major independent testing authorities including Bureau Veritas, Lloyds DNV and ABS, our proficiency is supported by our competitive labour costs.
A dedicated Calibration Room combined with "Manufactory" trained staff and manufacture reconditioning machinery, ensure our customers ancillary equipment is well maintained.
Our Calibration Room boasts high technologies, of which is required for the precise testing of valves and gauges. Our facilities are frequently used by inspection authorities, third party depots and transport companies.
The on-site cleaning plant incorporates the very latest in technology including high-pressure rotary cleaners, dryers and steam heating. The bay can accommodate five tanks at any given time and is operated by fully trained staff who are conversant with the cleaning of chemicals and foodstuffs. The waste disposal system is in compliance with Water Authority regulations
