The future of Aluminium Tower best practice is Integral Advance Guardrails
Advance Guardrails (AGR) are now becoming widely adopted as the safest solution in preventing the risk of fall from height during assembly, dismantle and alteration of temporary equipment.
Recent innovations from leading aluminium tower manufacturers have seen advance guardrail equipment designed as an integral scaffold component. Not only has this improved safety, it has also benefitted efficiency and productivity. Integral AGR is the future of aluminium tower best practice; however; the importance of appropriate product selection should be considered.Aluminium Towers manufactured in the UK must comply with product standards BS EN1004:2004. Turner Access manufactures the BetaGuard® Integral AGR, available for use on Beta Tower®, OCTO® 250, OCTO® 500 and MAST Aluminium Tower types; all of which can be configured using BetaGuard®, with or without traditional bracing.
As the innovator of this type of aluminium tower design, the Turner BetaGuard® Tower System is fully compliant with the relevant product standards and carries the Kitemark after independent assessment and testing by BSI, as required for incorporation into the PASMA training scheme. However, it has been the removal of all identified risks that has made BetaGuard® the outstanding tower option.
BetaGuard® Integral AGR was the first of its kind to be introduced into PASMA’s training scheme following Turner Access’ previous solution for towers, which was illustrated in the HSE CIS 10 and the HSE/PASMA “Don’t Fall for It” DVD.
