Centenary Landmark for the Turner Group
Turner Access is a member of the Turner Group of Companies and as such, will join forces with its sister companies to commemorate the Group centenary year during 2012.
Turner Access has been a member of the Turner Group for 28 years having been incorporated into the business in 1984. Located in Glasgow, Turner Access is a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of access equipment for safe working at height.2012 is a milestone in the history of the Turner Group, as it commemorates its centenary year. Initially founded by Mr. Alec Turner in 1912, as a supplier to the automotive industry, the Group remains family owned and operated today. With headquarters in Glasgow, Scotland the Group employs over 2000 people and has a turnover in excess of £220m.
History of Growth and Innovation
As it stands today, the Group has evolved through organic growth and acquisition with its main business activities operating in engineering services, support services and asset sales/rental services across the UK and overseas.
The Turner Group will mark the centenary year with a range of fundraising activities planned in support of its 2012 nominated charity; WellChild.
WellChild helps sick children and their families throughout the UK to manage the consequences of serious illness and complex health conditions through a programme of care, support and research. The Turner Group will offer practical support to activities in addition to fundraising. As the Turner Group marks its centenary, the focus now shifts to the next 100 years and the continued delivery of first class products and services to customers.
