ULTRA FAST video acquisition with the BitFlow New Karbon-CXP Frame Grabbers incorporating CoaXPress

BitFlow have launched its Karbon-CXP line of frame grabbers, one of the world''s first to incorporate the CoaXPress (CXP) standard for moving high-speed serial data from a camera to a frame grabber.

The result is video acquisition at speeds up to 6 Gigabits per second, as well as the ability to send control commands and triggers at 20 Megabits per second - all over a single piece of 75 Ohm coaxial cable up to 135 meters. Additionally up to 13W of power can be transmitted to camera along the cable.

ULTRA FAST linescan camera from e2v uses the new CXP interface

The perfect partner for the Karbon-CXP could be the e2v Technologies ELiiXA+ linescan camera which uses multiline CMOS technology to process 100,000 lines/s in a 16-kpixel format. High response combined with low noise level enables high signal-to-noise ratio when short integration times are required or when illumination is limited. The 5μm pixels are arranged in four active 16kpixel lines, ensuring optimal spatial resolution in both scanning and sensor directions with off-the-shelf lenses. Data rate in excess of 1.6 Gpixels/s is achieved via a CoaXPress interface to support web-inspection systems for demanding applications such as inspection of flat-panel displays, PCBs, and solar cell panels.
