Classic Upgrade to Housing Estate

The A. Proctor Group have supplied Canjaere Classic Timber Cladding for the renovation of houses in St. Mary’s housing estate in Dundee, which are traditional timber houses to meet Scottish Housing Quality Standards.

The main contractors, Dundee City Council Environmental Construction Services, installed Canjaere Classic Tongue and Groove onto the 54 houses which had been stripped of it’s existing cladding.

Dundee City Council’s Architects Department specified Canjaere Classic as it offers several advantages over other types of cladding. Canjaere Classic Timber Cladding comes in a range of natural looking colours with a standard 30 year warranty against rot/wood decay, thereby giving the specifier the confidence that this product will last.

Canjaere Classic Timber Cladding not only has superior weathering properties, but is also an environmentally sound exterior cladding which comes in various different profiles.
The Osmose treatment that is used for Canjaere Classic gives the softwood typical properties of hardwood, by increasing the water resistance and stability, thereby enabling them to be used in applications generally more suited to hardwoods.
