Nailympics London− The City''s Third Olympics

Welcome to The Nailympics London 2013, the 9th international nail competition held at Olympia Beauty in Kensington, London.

The global finger forum where expert judges join with a dedicated administration team to host a unique combination of categories over three days.

As ever, this year’s event adds a fresh new category to excite techs − Salon Nails. This will mix it up quite considerably as all models will be taken to one side and allocated a new tech to sit with for the duration. Therefore, just as it occurs in the salon, the competitor will be enhancing the nails of a stranger. Another new element is that the judging will NOT be blind and the tech must justify exactly what they have chosen to create on the nails. Soak Off Gel Manicure will be 30 minutes this year − to get a real buzz on the arena and there will be no need for table presentation. This is not a feature of this category for 2013.

This year three new Winner of Winners trophies are to be added to the wealth of medals and trophies already on offer − this will be for the nail artists that ONLY enter Fantasy and Mixed Media Boxed Art categories. Therefore those that only enter ART now have the opportunity to compete for a Division 1, 2 or 3 Winner of Winners trophy.

A new numbering system is to be inaugurated to complement the computer scoring, a more jazzier awards will be presented and with the new category − it promises to be a great event. So, get your competition heart racing, practice your timings and skills, source a model that can partner and support you − and get that sculpting and art brush out − it’s time to compete on the world’s nail stage.
