SCANNA to provide Counter IED Support for 2014 Brazil World Cup

Scanna MSC ltd is delighted to announce that they have won a significant contract to provide a number of their Portable x ray systems to Brazil in support of the 2014 Soccer World Cup.

SCANNA’s portable x ray systems provide a safe and effective method for the investigation of suspect packages, IED’s, Forensic search and Special Operations.

The contract worth in excess of $3.4 million US includes the provision of equipment, training, local maintenance and service support and will be used by both the Federal and Military Police. The equipment has already been delivered and training completed in advance of the recent Confederations Football Cup and Papal visit.

A spokesman from Special Security Secretary for Major Events said “We are delighted with the SCANNA solution; which provides us with a very reliable and capable portable x ray system which fully meets with our requirements.  The equipment has been well received by the End Users who will use the equipment at the forthcoming World Cup and Olympics.”
