Success for Action-Sealtite at StocExpo 2014

Action-Sealtite have successfully launched their new 3” Dry-Mate complete with the exciting buzz they had anticipated at the StocExpo 2014 exhibition in Ahoy, Rotterdam. The company have reported a phenomenal turnout with clients learning more about the product and the BLOODHOUND SSC project, which Action-Sealtite are sponsoring.

The 3” Dry-Mate is designed for safe and easy spill-free connections. The ‘double ball’ design allows maximum flow, while the cam lever style of connection is one of the most recognized fluid connectors.

Tailoring their stand to allow customers to interact with products, the ‘Rig’ demonstration saw the sales team showing off the different valves, flows and locking mechanisms of their dry disconnects. The large crowd had the opportunity to try the products themselves to establish the ease of use.

Action-Sealtite’s other leading products, Dry Link and CleanBREAK, also drummed up a lot of interest, especially in that the CleanBREAK coupling is the product being used to refuel the jet engine of the BLOODHOUND Super Sonic Car.

Working in partnership with the BLOODHOUND team, the company has utilised their knowledge of dry disconnect couplings to create the perfect solution for refueling the Super Sonic Car between runs with High-Test Peroxide.

The unique design of the first 1,000mph car meant a challenge of space limitations and product compatibility. Action-Sealtite’s 2” (70mm) stainless steel CleanBREAK Hose and Tank unit will deliver 500 litres per minute through an inlet made specifically for the tank unit, enabling the team to re-fuel the car quickly and efficiently with no spillage of air and dirt inclusion.

News of the Super Sonic Car’s 1,000mph target captured immediate attention of visitors far and wide through an explain-all video, with a lucky competition winner taking away a model of the record-breaking car.
