Exuviance was created in 2002 by world-renowned cosmetic dermatology experts Dr. Van Scott and Dr. Yu, founders of NeoStrata Company, Inc. It has gained a huge global following in a short amount of time and is one of the leading skincare brands in Scandinavia.
Founding partners Drs. Yu and Scott began working together in 1966 at Temple University in Philadelphia; they shared a mutual interest in diseases of the skin. The doctors were determined to find ways to positively influence the formation of new layers of the skin. This partnership has spanned four decades and still continues today. While their early research focused on treatments for psoriasis and skin cancers, they soon broadened their focus to include numerous diseases of the skin, especially those affecting the epidermis. This led to important discoveries for treatments of dry skin, ichythyosis, psoriasis, and other conditions. They are the creators and the original patent holders of the first glycolic peel and discovered the rejuvenating power of Alpha Hydroxy, Polyhydroxy and Bionic Acids, which provide proven, visible results, backed by evidence from numerous clinical studies, patents and articles in every major medical journal of dermatology.

- Alpha Hydroxy Acids remove dead skin cells while working on all the layers of the skin. The exuviation of the skin (as the brand name suggests) in the epidermis stimulates cell turnover for a reduced pore size and a brighter, more luminous and youthful tone. Glycolic and Mandelic Acids are AHAs. Glycolic Acid exfoliates and normalises cell turnover to clarify pores, refine skin texture and break up pigmentation. At deeper levels it increases collagen and builds the skin support structure. Mandelic Acid has unique lipophilic properties and has an antibacterial nature so is ideal for oily, acne prone skin
- Polyhydroxy Acids offer powerful anti-ageing benefits without irritation and actually strengthen the skin’s protective barrier, reducing skin redness and making skin less vulnerable to irritants over time. The molecule also binds to water so it acts as a humectant to keep the skin hydrated. Gluconolactone is a PHA derived from corn sugar. It is a powerful anti-ageing ingredient, yet so gentle it can be used on rosacea-prone skin and around the delicate eye area. It is also a highly stable antioxidant that has been proven to inhibit elastase, helping to preserve the skins youthful elasticity
- Bionic Acids harness the power of naturally occurring compounds to deliver clinically proven benefits such as smoother texture and tone, without redness, flaking or stinging. Lactobionic Acid is a PHA Bionic derived from milk sugar and is a very potent antioxidant and gentle on the skin. It is often used post peels, laser and microdermabrasion for strengthening and moisturising abilities. Maltobonic Acid from malt sugar acts as iron chelators, inhibiting metalloproteinase (MMP) that degrades collagen and GAGS, the skins structural support. It also provides protection from free radical damage.

- Peptides work to replace lost collagen to help fill and plump the skin so that it appears firm, lifted and toned
