Sherborne Sensors’ inclinometers, accelerometers and force transducers to make debut at Automotive Testing Expo North America

Wyckoff, N.J. Oct. 23, 2014 − Sherborne Sensors, a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of sensors for military, aerospace and industrial applications has announced that it will be attending the Automotive Testing Expo North America 2014 in Novi, Mich. on Oct. 28-30. Sherborne Sensors will have a range of inclinometers, accelerometers and force transducers on display on its stand No.10026M.

The automotive industry is increasing its focus on technologies that support drivers in critical situations and help avoid accidents. Reliable, accurate and robust sensors are crucial to the designing, testing, and building of a host of products for the market. The industry requires sensors that can operate under extreme and demanding conditions and are rugged enough to withstand multiple testing runs, while still providing highly precise and accurate results time after time.

With over a decade of experience in serving the automotive industry, Sherborne Sensors provides high-quality, high-performance sensors for use in many automotive, truck, and off-road/motorsport test and measurement applications. One recent use of the company’s Sherborne Sensors’ servo inclinometers has been in automobile dynamic test rigs to evaluate the performance characteristics of vehicle suspension and steering by rigorously testing the steering and braking input forces.

Alongside its global engineering and manufacturing expertise, Sherborne Sensors offers extensive custom engineering and in-house design capabilities, along with calibration services.

Mike Baker the Managing Director of Sherborne Sensors said attending the expo is a new opportunity for the company: “This is the first time we have exhibited at the Automotive Testing Expo and it represents our growing commitment to the US market and the expanding opportunity for sensor technology in the automotive testing field. We are looking forward to showcasing the market-leading capabilities of our sensors to the wide range of organizations that will be in attendance.”

Visitors to Automotive Testing Expo North America 2014 will see the latest test technologies and services being used in the full automotive production process − from initial prototype analysis to end-of-line inspection and quality assurance, and every procedure in between. Over 200 exhibitors will display products designed to improve vehicle reliability, durability, safety and quality.
