The Brownfield Estate designed by the architect Ernö Goldfinger and completed in the early 1960s is regarded as a landmark housing development of its period, and has been designated a Conservation Area with its two principal buildings, Balfron Tower and Carradale House, both listed Grade II.

Furnitubes supplied over 120 Alperton bollards that where installed along the edge of the footpaths to deter parking and protect pedestrians, along with 11 Thetford cycle stands.
