Scanna wins security innovation award for x ray products

SCANNA MSC ltd is delighted to announce that they have won a Security Innovation Award for their Portable x-ray systems.

The announcement was made at the UK Home Office Security and Policing Event which took place 10-12 March 2015.
The award has been made for the Flexray product which has been developed to allow large targets to be investigated for the presence of IEDs and concealed weapons. Flexray allows the investigation of a range of targets such as large bins, vehicle door panels and large cargo boxes to be investigated with a portable x-ray generator and high quality image plates. Not only does this save time it also reduces the time operators need to spend near potential hazardous devices.

Flexray was used as part of the security arrangements at the Brazil Soccer World Cup in 2014 and was granted a Highly Commended award in the UK Security and Policing competition.

SCANNA Sales and Marketing Director Paul Taylor comments: " The development of Flexray allows large targets to be investigated with a single x-ray shot.  This means that a variety of targets can be assessed quickly for the presence of IEDs, concealed weapons and other threat materials.  This saves time in target investigation but also minimises the time operators need to spend at the incident. We are delighted that the capabilities of Flexray have been recognised with this prestigious award."
SCANNA’s portable x-ray systems provide a safe and effective method for the investigation of suspect packages, IEDs, Forensic search and Special Operations.
