Munters wins SHD Logistics Award for Innovation

Munters is delighted to have been chosen as winner of the SHD Logistics Innovation Award 2015.

On Thursday 19th March 2015, the team from Munters were presented with an award for Innovation, at the SHD Logistics Awards, hosted by comedian Romesh Ranganathan, at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square.

The event celebrates excellence in the logistics industry, across eleven main categories. Munters won for its commitment to Innovation.  Operations Manager, Alan Bessant says “I’m so pleased that we have won this award, especially against such strong competition.  It’s great for everyone involved to have been recognised for our innovative thinking and applications”

The judge’s comments, read out by Romesh live on stage, said: ”Munters received a glowing testimonial from its partner, a major food supplier, which secured it the winning spot.  Its innovative system gave its major client the assurance that its goods are moved safely, using desiccant technology.”

The SHD Logistics Awards were declared a successful and important event by its guests, who enjoyed a 5* menu at the elegant venue, before Romesh provided twenty minutes of comedy. Romesh also announced each winner, who joined him on stage to collect their trophy.

Other winners on the night across categories included:  Fresh Logistics, DHL and House of Fraser, Proximity with Scandinavian House, Peel Ports Group, Kuehne & Nagel with SEC Storage, John Lewis, Century Logistics, Widdop Bingham with Proteus Software, Great Bear, Kelloggs with Voiteq and Unipart Aftermarket Logistics.

Peter MacLeod, Editor of SHD Logistics, said: “The mood of the evening was celebratory and upbeat, and it was heartening to see the obvious delight and pride shown by the winners. I congratulate Munters - a very deserving winner.”

This fantastic achievement, combined with winning the Global Freight Innovation Award at the end of 2014, recognises Munters commitment helping customers create the optimal indoor climate conditions.
