KONE awarded modernisation and maintenance contract at Gatwick Airport for lifts, escalators and autowalks
KONE has secured a four-year contract to maintain lifts, escalators and autowalks at Gatwick Airport.
KONE''s around-the-clock service will aid the safe, smooth and efficient flow of around 38 million passengers per year. Gatwick Airport Limited has commissioned KONE to maintain all of the airport''s lifts, escalators and passenger conveyors, as well as being appointed as its modernisation partner for associated equipment.KONE''s operational performance at Gatwick is published on a monthly basis across the airport and currently has a 99.7% equipment availability rate.

The contract was signed in the third quarter of 2014.
