Cool-Phase Hybrid
For all education buildings to consider natural ventilation, lighting and cooling in design Be renowned for quality, innovation and business simplicity Supply 30% of all schools and 10% of all universities
Cool-Phase Hybrid is a step change development of our awarding winning Cool-phase product which has won both environmental and innovation awards with respected independent organisations including CIBSE and Ashden. It makes use of Phase Change Material which is an incredibly simple concept. The best way to think of this is to consider an ice cube in a glass of water. We know that the ice cube will cool the water down but the reason it does this, is that as the ice melts, it absorbs thermal energy from the water it is in and therefore lowers the water’s temperature. The Hybrid version of Cool-phase is a fantastic addition which incorporates a high efficiency inverter driven air to water heat pump. The benefit of this addition is that closer set point control can be achieved and greater capacity provided in high density buildings such as class rooms, lecture theatres and offices. This gives us the potential to provide huge energy savings for many more buildings. Why vote for Monodraught Cool-phase Hybrid? • It is the highest efficiency, lowest carbon usage active ventilation and cooling system available today. • By closely controlling both CO2 and temperature of the space it provides the most comfortable, productive and healthy environment for occupants. Non-domestic buildings produce nearly a fifth of the UK’s carbon emissions. We believe that with the required investment directed towards promotion our technology can make at least a 20% reduction towards minimising these emissions while providing a perfect environment for occupants − this is Monodraught’s 2020 policy! Although as an SME we are able to be innovation leaders we don’t have the financial resource to be able to effectively promote this technology against huge air conditioning multinationals and this is essential for it to be widely adopted.
