Medpage Limited launch new epileptic seizure monitor.

The Medpage MP5 ULTRA was developed to provide seizure detection from a broader range of seizure types and incorporates high specification motion sensors combined with analytical computer software that accurately determines if a person is having an epileptic seizure while in bed.

Extensive research into seizure type characteristics provided data which, was used to develop algorithms to calculate and identify the regular sleeping movements of a patient. Non- typical seizure movement is ignored by the motion sensors, virtually eliminating false alarms in all bed type/patient trials. The MP5 ULTRA provides selectable pre-programmed seizure type detection modes as well as manual adjustment and settings save function.
