Habia Cable continues to develop new cable solutions for the telecom market. The highly competitive RET cables for mobile base-station antennas are robust and reliable. In addition Habia Cable can provide flexible logistic solutions to stock keeping on customer premises.

Remote Electrical Tilt (RET) or Variable Downtilt antennas enable mobile phone network operators to adjust the beam of an antenna to meet changing conditions such as variations in the density of traffic during the day. By doing so it is possible to optimise the network. Typically the movement of the antenna array is controlled using an RS485 signal carried over a multicore cable together with electrical power to drive a motor of some sort. The demands on the cable are very high, as they need to withstand the harsh environmental conditions experienced at the top of a mast in a variety of weather conditions.
