Polyma casings add style to Holiday Inn Express

Durable Polyma GRP column casings from Encasement have been used to conceal external structural steelwork and create an inviting entrance to the recently completed Holiday Inn Express in Harlow, Essex.

The 122-room hotel is located just 15 miles from Stansted airport and with easy access to the M11 and other major road and rail networks, as well as being close to the Harlow Business Park and is one of the latest additions to the growing Holiday inn chain.

Standing 3000mm high and spanning the hotel’s front elevation, each of Encasement’s 500mm diameter column casings are manufactured from durable and weather resistant glass reinforced plastic. They also incorporate skirting collars at the base and are finished in a grey RAL 7012 PPC coating to integrate with the building’s exterior design.

Martin Taylor, Encasement’s MD, explained: “Polyma is an excellent solution for exterior use on hotels, such as the Holiday Inn Express, as well as public buildings retail and other high traffic areas, due to its resistance to damage and weathering. It can also be manufactured in a diverse range of colours to suit external colour schemes and even corporate colours.”
