atg UV Technology Awarded Bristol Water Contract for a potable water UV Disinfection plant.
atg UV Technology are delighted to announce that they have been awarded a contract for the manufacture and supply of a UV disinfection plant by Bristol Water Plc.
Designed to a peak capacity of 128 Ml/d it will be one of the largest UV disinfection installations for potable water in the UK.
Bristol Water selected atg UV Technology based on their experience and successful track record throughout AMP 5, seeing atg UV deliver over fifty UV plants to various Water Utilities companies from 2010 to 2015.
The contract will see atg UV Technology supply 3 x UVLW-30800-30 UV systems that will operate as a duty / assist / standby solution. The UV systems, manufactured in Wigan, UK are designed to meet the very latest UK and European potable drinking water regulations, including the recent WIMES 801.B specification guidance for closed vessel drinking water UV systems.
The UV model specified for Bristol Water represents one of the most powerful closed vessel Amalgam UV systems on the market, and features the highest UV output in the smallest installation footprint available. Unlike traditional low pressure systems that feature 300 watt lamps, each UVLW reactor from atg UV utilizes 30 x 800 Watt ultra-high output Amalgam UV lamps, allowing atg UV to significantly reduce the number of UV reactors required to treat the 128 Ml/d (5,300 m3/hr) flow rate.
