Clayrite comes to Coventry.

Berkswell & Balsall Common Tennis Club, Coventry, has recently added to its tally of artificial courts with a block of 2 courts in Clayrite, by Playrite

The club were looking to complement their existing courts with a synthetic surface offering slow paced clay court characteristics. Fosse Contracts Ltd, worked closely with Playrite to identify the ideal surface for the scheme

Playrite''s, Clayrite sand-filled terracotta surface, with inlaid lines was chosen by the club as the ideal solution to provide the relevant performance levels and clay characteristics desired by the club. Clayrite has an ITF 2, medium slow pace rating. The medium/slow surface speed, ball bounce and player enjoyment compares closely with a traditional clay court.

Initially two porous macadam courts were constructed with flood lights being added in 1990.
