IATA 2016 Changes

Drastic changes for Lithium Battery shipments for commercial companies.

From the 1st April 2016 IATA are restricting Section II shipments of Lithium Batteries to one package per consignment, this means only one package can be collected from a single shipper going to a single consignee.

Any company sending more than one package or in over-packs will have to do so under section 1A or 1B. Persons and companies who only ship single packages are not impacted.

A large number of airlines are also restricting the movement of Lithium battery shipments, going from 48 to 76 airlines.
