Food and Drinks Matters is pleased to present Parkers Food Machinery Plus (PFM) with its highly regarded Commitment to Excellence profile.
The wholesale food machinery company, which is based in Bognor Regis, was established by Barry Parker and his wife Carol over 12 years ago. Today the supplier is a recognised packaging, labelling, machinery, sundry and clothing specialist that has acquired itself a wide-ranging customer base; successfully servicing the needs of clients nationwide courtesy of its dedicated distributor network.
The family run business has been offering reliability and value for money to those working within the food industry ever since its foundation; supplying equipment through sole agency agreements whilst providing the necessary import and aftercare services.PFM focuses on the quality source and efficient distribution of new and pre-owned food processing machinery such as vacuum packers, weigh scale labellers & automatic wrappers, sausage power fillers & mixers, slicers & bandsaws and ovens. The company also holds the impressive status as one of the largest providers of vacuum packers in the country and is a leading UK importer and agent for New Diamond Vacuum Packers, Manconi & DEKO Slicers, Ishida Weighing Scales and Dadaux Meat Processing Machinery.
The portfolio of packaging products includes an array of internal and external vacuum pouches which are food safe and therefore incredibly popular with high street butchers, catering butchers, meat wholesalers, abattoirs, kitchens, cheese manufactures and vegetable packers. PFM branded vacuum pouches come in various sizes at cost-competitive rates and are manufactured using the finest PA/PE material in accordance with FDA and EU regulations.
Other products are available in the form of butchers’ sundries; namely, butchers vacuum pouch bags, sausage casings, rusk, sausage seasonings, professional butchers twine, poly trays, bags and cleaning products developed to the highest possible standards. Clothing can also be purchased as PFM stocks a wide range of safety shoes, coats, hair nets and gloves (essentially every garment that would be a requirement for workers operating in the food production sector).
The organisation’s labelling capabilities involve a fast and reliable design and print service along with the provision of thermal and none thermal scale labels (purchasable in different shapes and sizes to suit all types of machines), which can be ordered in any quantity.
PFM has remained a supplier of choice because it can provide the entire package to its customers. With its skilled workforce and easy access to quality machines, sundries and spare parts, the company is well equipped to fulfil individual specifications whilst keeping clients fully assured with its servicing and repair competencies.
“We pride ourselves on bringing a personal service, as illustrated by our motto, ‘Large enough to deliver… small enough to care’,” Barry commented “We feel we are a forward thinking company with a range of quality products that span across the board, and have a dedicated support team waiting to deal with enquiries as we are committed to providing excellent service and on-going after care.
“Our main aim is to sustain our success with continued development. Our plans going forward in the short term are to keep supplying quality products with quality service at the best prices − we feel this is what the market now demands and what we can supply.”
