Home Front has recently completed a major play equipment project at a prestigious school in Oxford City Centre.

The School has been undergoing amajor redevelopment project, and, as part of that project a new temporary playground has been constructed.

Our task was to provide the specified equipment but constructed in such a way to allow the entire structure to be easily removed and rebuilt in a new playground in a couple of year’s time. As previous customers of Home Front Play Equipment, the school had picked a Super Ship as the focal point of the playground and then added a sandpit and custom designed mini fort.

All the equipment was to be installed on safer surfacing matting and with artificial grass finish. This was laid first with the addition of in-ground steel sleeves to accept the structural posts. This eliminated the need to cut the surfacing to fit around the equipment so creating an unbroken surface. And the sleeves mean that the equipment keeps its structural rigidity but can be removed easily.

The final design with the artificial grass and pictorial panels create a wonderful green oasis for the playground in this central city location.
