Novograf helps The Co-op to teach life skills to kids
Novograf happily donated the shop front brick effect, window film, cladding, other surfaces, signs and installation to help the Co-op’s contractor partners create the Danger Point teaching store.
Danger Point is a safety centre in Talacre North Wales where children can explore a mock-town − much like a film set − filled with interactive activities. It is all designed to help children spot dangers in their homes and communities, while learning essential life skills.
Inside the Danger Point Co-op, young people learn about the consequences of peer-pressure, bullying, shoplifting and bad life decisions. Children will also learn the benefits of budgeting and making healthy eating choices.
The Danger Point Centre is supported by North Wales Police and North Wales Fire & Rescue Service to give young people the chance to develop strategies on how to stay safe. Essential learning experiences offered to children at the centre relate to the beach, water ways, railways, fires, internet, money and road safety − and now the new replica Co-op shop will educate children on shop safety, laws around purchasing certain products and safety with cash and card payments.
As with the Hazard Alley mock Co-op in Milton Keynes last year, Novograf leapt at the opportunity to help with the Danger Point mock Co-op shop.
We congratulate the Co-op for supporting DangerPoint.
