Aylesbury High School − Science Lab Refurbishment

Aylesbury High School invited several contractors to tender for this science laboratory refurbishment

The contract was awarded to Labform following several in depth meetings with the client, architect and M&E consultant

Work started on site during the Easter holidays and continued on into school term time as per the contract agreement

Amongst the contract works were

Re-board and plaster all walls
New internal doors
Suspended ceiling and inset LED lighting
Disconnect / Reconnect existing Fume cupboard ducting
Mechanical ventilation heat recovery unit (MVHR) Supply, installation and commission
New furniture to clients design (Velstone worktops)

The delivery of this project, meant that Labform had to work very closely with the client, M&E consultant as well as the Architect, which involved weekly site meetings

Overall, this was achieved, and the project ran very smoothly, and was delivered on time and within budget

A 6 month retention period was written into the contract, and on final inspection following the 6 month period there were “Zero” reported snagging items to complete
