Vaplas Makes £150,000 Investment In New Machinery
Plastic products manufacturer Vaplas have made a significant £150,000 investment in new machinery to increase capacity and meet growing demand for its products, alongside diversifying to provide machining solutions for aluminium.
The company, based at Tuscany Court Express Way Normanton, West Yorkshire, is a leading UK manufacturer of high quality CNC machined plastic and aluminium parts, they also manufacture machine guards and fabricated tanks for various types of applications. Vaplas work with many industries including, aerospace, automotive, beverages, and pharmaceutical to name a few.
Jason, the MD said: “With demands ever growing and technologies moving even faster in our industry, we have just increased our capacity by investing in two new state-of-the-art DMG Mori Universal Turning Centres, growing our factory to 11 machines in total including three powerful DMG machines.”
The machines set the new benchmark in universal turning with direct measuring system in standard (X- or X-/Y-axis).
Packed with features, the machines offer:
- Complete machining of complex parts thanks to its Y-axis
- Greater efficiency for machining with a bar feeder
- Compact design with large working area for the machining of customised parts
Investing in two new machines means new staff are required to operate them. Vaplas have now recruited one new member for the machining department alongside an extra member of the office team to help keep their renowned customer service levels at their best.
The new machines have landed and are taking pride of place on the shop floor and are already earning their keep with a full order book.
