SEO HTML Tags You Should be Doing on Your Website

Getting the simple things correct on your website pages is important.

That is why fully understanding what you need to do to make your SEO HTML Tags correct is important to get the most of out your web pages and blog. To make sure your website has a good overall SEO ranking, you need to make sure most of your web pages and/or blog contains all of these to boost your overall ranking. Here are the things you need to know.

SEO HTML Tags Tips:

TITLES:
In terms of titles, there are two types of titles that you can give your web pages and blog posts. One title can be seen on your website, and the other title is seen on search engines. The one that is seen on search engines is simply known as SEO title.

When thinking of the SEO title of your page or blog post, are you thinking about where you can put your keywords? Or whether you can include your keyword within the title you have already thought of?

By building your keywords or key phrases into your SEO title, it will boost your SEO ranking which will make sure your web page or blog posts can be seen when that keyword is typed within each search engine.

DESCRIPTIONS:
What do you do when you want to find out more information about something? You read the description that is provided. This doesn’t differ with any web pages or blog posts you have. You can give your website content (blogs/web pages) descriptions that tell your target audience what the content is about. This can be done through Meta Descriptions.

Meta descriptions are a way to tell anyone who sees your listing on search engines (e.g. Google) what your page is about and what sort of information they will be able to find on your page or within your blog post.

Each meta description should:
be between 120-156 characters long
include one of your keywords
describe what is on your web page or blog within a few words
If you don’t input your own meta description, search engines will randomly select things within the content on your web page/blog to be put as your meta descriptions. This can either be the first sentence or a sentence within the text that doesn’t look relevant to the content when you see it.

STRUCTURE:
Schema is one of the ways you can boost your SEO ranking without using the traditional methods. But what is schema and what can you use it for?

Examples of what Schema will look on a search engine when looking for reviews about a specific company.

Schema (also known as Schema.org) is a combination of tags/microdata that you can to your HTML to improve the way search engines read and represent your page in SERP’s. Between the collaboration of Google, Bing, Yandex and Yahoo!, Schema is to provide the information that allows the search engines to understand your content.

Examples of the type of items that can be described by Schema:
Creative work (e.g. books)
Events (e.g. business/theatre)
Organisations
People
Place
Products

HEADINGS:
When planning out what your content should be, thinking of what headers you should use within your web page or blog post is important. But have you thought of including some of your keywords within your headers? If you have some of your SEO keywords within your headers, and by using either H1 − H7 tags, it can boost your SEO ranking.

While doing this, try not to use one keyword within every heading you have on your web page/blog post. If you do this, this may have some negative efforts on your SEO instead of positive efforts. Make sure you think of where to include your keywords in your content and how it relates to the text you are writing.
