Let’s Get Christmas Jumper Day Done!

Let’s Get Christmas Jumper Day Done!

While Friday the 13th has a reputation for being unlucky for some − with today’s news clearly dominated by the General Election result - there are several other highlights we’d like to focus on here at David Salisbury…like getting Christmas Jumper Day done!

That is in no way to diminish the Election result, far from it: there has obviously been a constant stream of politics in the news recently and, like most people we suspect, we simply wished for political stability and a platform for renewed economic growth going forward into the New Year (regardless of any political allegiances).

So with the Election now done, we’re taking a moment today to wear our Christmas jumpers, have some festive fun and raise some well-needed money for our chosen charity this year: MacMillan Cancer Support. To date, we are proud to have raised well over £4,000 this year from a wide-range of different fundraising activities and initiatives for this hugely important cause.

Taking a walk around our head office and factory, here in Highbridge in Somerset, it was clear pretty much every department was on board for Christmas Jumper Day!

It was also a reminder of the breadth of skills and expertise that goes into making each and every David Salisbury bespoke orangery, garden room and timber window. From Sales to CAD, Processing and 3D drawing, and from Procurement to Customer Services & Installation, it was good to see what is one big team.

Once we have completed the working week later this afternoon, it is off to swap our Christmas jumpers for our party clothes, in time for the David Salisbury Christmas Party this evening.

Hosted this year at the recently refurbished and updated Brean Country Club, we’re looking forward to some festive fun and a chance to reflect on a year of hard work and continued success for the company. In next week’s Blog, we will round up some of our highlights of 2019, covering everything from new awards, strong nationwide sales success and our strengthened oak sales team through to our latest prestigious commercial buildings projects.

Before then, we have definitely got Christmas Jumper Day done, to use a somewhat topical phrase!

So if there was an award for best festive jumper, who would you get your vote!? Leave us a comment below and let us know what you think...
