Croft to host introduction to AM Course at World Filtration Conference 2020

Croft Additive Manufacturing Ltd, a sister company to Croft Filters, will be offering a short introductory course to Additive Manufacturing (AM) at the conference.

Aimed at all congress attendees, it will provide detailed insight into the fundamentals of AM - providing knowledge backed with expertise and experience. Led by Croft Director, Neil Burns, the four-hour course will cover the process and the development of additive industrial parts, as well as information on Designing for Additive Manufacture (DfAM) and how it differs from conventional design.

Illustrated with case studies relating to the filtration industry, Croft will demonstrate the potential benefits Additive Manufacturing can deliver to the filtration sector. Using Crofts expertise in production using AM, the course will explain how AM is used in wedge wire, woven mesh, perforated plate, filter housings and component parts, as well as a hybrid of conventional manufacturing and AM.

UNLOCK THE BENEFITS FOR YOUR BUSINESS
Croft has witnessed the growth of the AM industry as part of Industry 4.0. In fact, according to PWC surveys, two-thirds of manufacturers are now using AM in their processes. 3D printing equipment are now readily available and accessible, making it easier for many companies to unlock the benefits of AM.

There can be little doubt that 3D technologies are leading the way in this latest industrial revolution. Due to its versatility, AM offers a potential saving in time and costs, enables process efficiency and reduces its complexity, allowing for fast prototyping and production processes.
