Wardray Premise are delighted to announce their approved supplier status of QuantaShield™. This is a new and versatile radiation shielding product manufactured in the UK. It offers an optimum shielding solution against X-rays, gamma rays, protons, neutrons and magnetic fringe fields.

QuantaShield™ standard interlocking blocks are offered with densities between 2 g/cc and 4 g/cc. However, ad hoc densities can be achieved to meet a client’s specification. The higher density version of the QuantaShield™ block offers significant floor space saving compared with the standard density concrete blocks on the market.

QuantaShield™ standard interlocking blocks are designed to minimise radiation leakage, easy to install, sized for easy manual handling and stack without requiring any bonding agents thus reducing the need for wet trades on sites.

QuantaShield™ blocks contain concrete with naturally recycled constituents but their environmental credentials are improved as the blocks are relocatable, do not contain any toxic materials and are produced in the UK.

Working with the manufacturer of the blocks Wardray are able to develop and design bespoke shielding solutions, their services include completion of:

• site surveys;
• shielding calculations and design optimisation;
• manufacture and installation of self-supporting structures and shielded doors,
• post construction inspections and surveys.

In addition to the expert staff completing the installation; Wardray Premise also offer maintenance contracts to ensure the continued success and longevity of projects within the UK.
