Sustainable, Responsible, Luxury NEW Biodegradable Slippers from BC Softwear

BC Softwear are the UK’s leading independent supplier of luxury bathrobes, towels and slippers.

They supply products that have been specifically designed for three distinct markets; Hotels, Spas and Laundries. The company has a vast (1670sqm) warehouse which means unlike many other linen suppliers, BC Softwear can supply most items from stock, providing fast, reliable delivery when its most needed.

NO MORE PLASTIC

In 2019, the company made a Pledge to the Cleaners Seas Project. They have reduced single plastics from all towels and slippers and flip flops, saving 50 tonnes of plastic this year alone. The company have also recently introduced a new biodegradable slipper bag made from Corn Starch.

Customers can now choose two alternative sustainable friendly options; to have their slippers presented in a simple printed paper wrap or the new biodegradable corn starch bag.

The latest launch is biodegradable slippers. Recognising the importance of sustainability for hotels and spas, the company has been working behind the scenes on this product for several months, to develop these slippers. In our research, we discovered that there are some slippers marketed as biodegradable that contain materials that are synthetic. ‘We were determined that our slippers would be made from natural, sustainable material and 100% biodegradable and we are very pleased with the results’. says Barbara Cooke.

BC Softwear Biodegradable slippers:
  • Fully Biodegradable: The slippers are fully recyclable, unlike others on the market that may have a synthetic lining.
  • Natural cotton; The sole uppers are made with natural cotton on the outside with a brushed cotton lining on the inside.
  • Made with natural Coir Soles: (Coir is a natural coconut fibre, extracted from the husk of coconut.)
  • Natural cotton padding: The slippers are given an extra layer of padding for added comfort.
  • Material: Available in Natural Cotton or Jute.
  • Bespoke Finish: The slippers can be supplied in the natural cream cotton or Jute. The cotton slippers can also customised to your colour specification* *subject to minimum volumes
