The electronics fitted with the 6060 hydraulic mining shovel are top of the range, highly intelligent and even include a caterpillar product support system for more efficient cat dealer services.

But what else is included?

The 6060 also contains a bucket payload of around 61t per pass. This is a major improvement in comparison to other models. The 6060 is also a four-pass match with the Cat 793 mining truck and five-pass match with the Cat 794 AC mining truck.

Twin cat 3512E engines are advanced in their performance, fuel efficient, and created to an extremely high standard of durability. When maintained well, this vehicle will stand the test of time.

The engines fitted to the mining shovel are up to 15 percent more fuel efficient, impressive in comparison to the previous model with up to 5%. Engine oils and filter change intervals are doubled to 1000 hours, helping reduce maintenance. With a superior undercarriage and slew ring upgrades, productivity is maximised alongside upside.

Heavy duty rollers, a revised track tensioning system, idlers and tracks are also strong benefits of the new shovel. This new superstructure includes both geometrical changes and plate thickness.
