LaneSystems: June Roundup
And the summer months are upon us. With more and more employees making their way back to the office we’ve dedicated June to reiterating the importance of Cyber Security.
Upon returning to the workplace it’s intrinsic business owners and managers conduct a thorough security health check to include the following:Coherent Guidelines & Dedicated Training
- Choose a line of Cyber Security Training, share with employees & advise not to deviate from these (cyber criminals are now intercepting COVID training guidelines)
- Inform your team from day one to avoid potential disaster
Password Hygiene
- Remind employees on the importance of highly secure passwords
- Reiterate the dangers of sharing passwords over text, email or writing them down
- Investigate the use of account privileges as opposed to shared passwords
- Look into the benefits of a password vault
Use Approved-Only Software
Whilst working from home, individuals may have unintentionally downloaded non secure software and you need to be aware of this. Not only does your company become in potential violation of GDPR guidelines, systems are inherently at risk.
“Cyber Crime is the greatest threat to every company in the world”, Ginni Rommety
Sanitise Systems
Before employees begin working the following must be done to ensure maximum security:
• Vulnerability Assessment
• Update Antivirus Software
• Install Recent OS Software Updates
Alongside Cyber Security awareness we have chosen to embrace summer 2021 with a seasonally related logo (found above). You’ll also find this on our website and social media so please, check it out and let us know what you think!
Moving into July we’re changing things up a little! Given the last year has been difficult for many to say the least, we’re focussing on the warmer weather, fabulous places to visit in the UK and we may even mention some picnic ideas!
