PPE announces new KSA operations

Precision Polymer Engineering (PPE), one of the world''s leading manufacturers of high performance moulded elastomer seals, announced the formation of PPE International LLC in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

This new partnership will offer a significant boost to the availability of high performance oil and gas sealing solutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

The new 1152 sq m production facility is located in Dammam, close to the second Industrial city. The completed unit will include innovative Manufacturing, Technical and R&D laboratory space for oilfield sealing components, as well as modern meeting and administrative space. The founding of PPE International LLC will also create 45 high-skilled job opportunities over the next five years, focussing on Saudization and the IKLTVA (In Kingdom Total Value Add) initiative to bring local content to the region.

Omer Raoof, the first General Manager of PPE International LLC, said “PPE International LLC is an important step in establishing Precision Polymer Engineering as a major presence in the Middle East region, specifically in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the first local manufacturing company for oil and gas sealing capability. We already have valuable working relationships with supermajors, NOCs and oil field service companies in the region, but this exciting new facility will allow our service level to be even more responsive − keeping equipment downtime to an absolute minimum and at the same time supporting the IKTVA initiative of bringing local content to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

The new Dammam production facility is expected to be in full operation by September 2021.
