PAT Testing

PAT Testing is essential for small businesses as by law you must routinely inspect and maintain your electrical equipment.


The IET (Institute of Electrical Engineers) who establish ‘best practice’ recently updated their guidance. In response to this the software and name of our simple to use PAT Tester has been upgraded.

The main change in guidance relates to the ILeak test, with all electrical equipment set to PASS if reading is 5.00mA or lower. It also clarifies the need for risk assessments and the need to review the frequency of testing. For more details on changes to guidance you can purchase the IET Guide or call us.

In addition, the PB500V can now switch between 250v and 500v when testing, enabling you so test surge protected items.
