Robust, rugged and easily cleaned Android tablet

Embedded systems and display solutions provider, Review Display Systems (RDS) has announced the availability of a rugged, industrialised 7-inch Android tablet from AAEON, a leading manufacturer of rugged computing solutions. The RTC-710RK brings flexibility and versatiligy to mobile computing with a brighter screen, longer battery life, rugged contruction and enhanced performance.

RISC-based processor provides stable, efficient operation
The AAEON RTC-710RK is powered by the innovative RISC-based 6-core Rockchip RK3399 ARM processor which provides stable and efficient operation. The RTC-710RK is available with up to 4GB of memory and up to 128GB of storage enabling support for a wide range of applications. The tablet also features a high brightness 700nit, high resolution 1280 x 800 pixel TFT display. The RTC-710RK implements the Android 8.1 operating system, which can be easily customised for specific user needs.

Ruggedised construction and certification
The RTC-710RK has MIL-STD-810G and IP65 certifications for vibration testing, drop testing, water and dust proofing. A 4420mAh internal Li-ion battery supports an operational life of up to 8 hours and a hot-swappable battery pack allows the tablet to maintain operation without having to stop for a recharge.

Optional accessories
A wide range of optional extras and accessories include a docking station, hand strap, carry bag, battery pack, 4-bay battery charger, VESA mounting pate and region-specific power cables.

Flexible operation and configuration
With an extensive standard I/O layout, which can be easily customised for specifc applications, flexibility is a key feature of the RTC-710RK. Users can also purchase dedicated add-on modules including a RJ45 and UART port module, or 2D barcode scanner.
