YPS Launch Widest Auto-Bagger On The Market

Yorkshire Packaging Systems, the UK leaders in flexible packaging solutions, have launched an exceptional automatic poly-bagging unit in conjunction with global manufacturers Pregis; the Max Pro 24.

The Max Pro 24 automatic bagger is the ideal solution to ease the pressure on any busy pick and pack environment. With its ability to match the output of four manual packing stations, the Max Pro 24 delivers fast returns on labour costs, efficiencies and speed, whilst producing a high-quality bag with neat and secure seals each and every time. It’s roomy 24’’ aperture and 12’’ depth is capable of bagging up to two shoe boxes side by side, making this model the widest of its kind currently available on the market and therefore a great choice to future-proof any operation with expanding product ranges.

This portable, free-standing and ergonomic unit is simple to operate and can be configured to any space and/or operator requirement, making it ideal for shift work or temporary workforces. It has an extensive pre-programmable settings memory and intuitive controls including precise bag opening and closing deflators. Its ‘plug and play’ design incorporates a barcode reader for e-commerce applications, has an inbuilt thermal transfer ribbon printer for despatch labels and printed graphics and remote diagnostic capabilities. Up to 10 types of plastic and paper bag can be run, including fully recyclable specifications.

This flexible solution is perfect for e-commerce packing applications but is also ideally suited for manufacturing components, automotive parts, injection moulding parts, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, craft supplies, service packs and more. In February, YPS installed a polybagger into the Northern Irish factory of a major fabrics manufacturer to bag COVID-19 PPE supplies including facemasks, vastly increasing their production speeds and outputs to meet demanding NHS contracts.

Yorkshire Packaging Systems can supply a comprehensive range of compatible bags, including pre-opened or fanfolded specifications. Fully recyclable polybags are available, as well as bags with 25% recycled content. A number of useful features can be incorporated including easy-tear perforations, ventilation holes, euroholes for display purposes, closing strips for returns and reclosable strips so the bags can be used as containers. Up to 8 colours can be printed on the inside or outside of the bags and photographic images can also be catered for.

‘The Max Pro 24 is a great addition to our e-commerce range and as the widest of its kind available we’re already fielding a lot of enquiries for demos and sample packs. Offering speed, precision and efficiency, it’s a total must-have for any growing business or retailer that ships goods out to customers.’ Jonny Braithwaite, YPS Director.
