World Laboratory Day

Tomorrow is World Laboratory Day, and this year, we want to reach out to young people to show them how attractive professions in the laboratory really are.


For our Colours of Science campaign, we carried out a survey and asked about 2,000 young people what they think about STEM subjects, careers in laboratories, and science. Read more about the interesting results on our Colours of Science website.

Get inspired by our Heroes! There are people who inspire us: A best friend, a parent, a teacher or a favourite influencer. We asked these people about how they do it and what motivates them. Discover their stories on our campaign website.

NEW: Self-adhesive seal for qPCR.
This polyolefin plate seal with silicone adhesive has superior optical clarity and low auto-fluorescence. The low tack-to-touch adhesive is not tacky until pressure is applied to the sealing surface, which then creates a secure seal around both the wells and the edges of the plate. The seal is suitable for qPCR, and for dry samples such as soil, seeds or insects.
