Kara introduces new collection of British designed scrubs
Unique styles and technical fabric make workwear more desirable for UK health & wellness professionals
One of the UK’s premier distributors of healthcare workwear, Kara, has launched its first bespoke collection of British-designed, premium scrubs: the Kara Edit.Kara supplies innovative and fashionable uniform designs that break the mould of traditional “boxy” scrubs. With uniquely stylish garments which don’t compromise on exceptional functionality, it is a frontrunner in bringing fashionable scrubs to the UK industry. Kara has now developed its own premium range, including a new splash-proof fabric, EditTex and exciting additional features, to form the Kara Edit.
Expertly designed by British fashion designer, Alexandra Allen, the Kara Edit offers style and practicality for health and wellness professionals in their workplaces.
The range features ten highly functional designer scrubs pieces, including eight tops and trousers for women, available in four desirable colours: blush pink, grey, black and navy. The men’s range includes a top and trouser set for men, available in three core colours: grey, black and navy.
The Kara Edit range is constructed to be flattering for all body shapes. Panelling and tapering on tops accentuate the waist on female styles, and a balance has been struck between form-fitting and comfort on the male lines. The garments also feature exposed & hidden zips, multiple pockets and flexible waistbands as well as numerous other details.
The EditTex fabric is unique in the industry in that it has built-in water resistance, meaning that any accidental spills can be brushed off easily. This technical fabric is also highly durable whilst remaining breathable and soft-to-touch, making it ideal for all work environments. It has built-in motion stretch to guarantee the full range of movement needed for busy healthcare professionals. Vets and beauticians alike appreciate that the fabric is hair-friendly − any stray hairs just brush or shake straight off. Finally, the designers have also considered laundering practicalities, making sure the range is easy-care: garments can be washed in warm temperatures, tumble dried, ironed and have been tested to thermal disinfection temperatures.
With a range including beautician tunics, chic asymmetric and gold zip tops, relaxed v-neck tops, joggers, multi-pocketed cargo trousers, leggings and smart tailored trousers, Kara Edit has something for everyone.
Established in 2017, Kara specialises in providing scrub uniforms to a range of sectors including medical, dental, vets, beauticians and more.
Based in Elland in West Yorkshire, Kara is located in the traditional heartland of the UK’s heritage textile industry. Kara is a trading brand of Interweave Textiles Ltd, a wholesale supplier of healthcare textiles to NHS and private hospitals, care homes and clinics.
