Memorial Kingston Bench for Wheeler Primary

Neptune Street Furniture, one of the pioneers of the Buddy Bench in the United Kingdom, recently produced one of their ever-popular Kingston Buddy Benches for Wheeler Primary School in Hull.

The school got in contact with the company to enquire about having one of their Buddy Benches as a memorial for a recently deceased teacher.
The Buddy Bench which was manufactured was slightly different to their normal standard product as Wheeler Primary School wanted to make it unique and special to their school. Instead of choosing the default random colours, the school went for the “rainbow” coloured slats, which produces a beautiful and eye-catching colour display for all to see. Not only did they opt for the alternative colour scheme, but they also had a bespoke Stainless Steel plaque engraved and affixed to the seat.

The plaque they asked for had the words “Treasured memories of Mrs Graham”, this was in memory of their beloved teacher, colleague and friend. Additionally, Wheeler Primary wanted engravings on the other two back slats. Neptune Street Furniture offers the opportunity to engrave any message (subject to space) you wish on any of the seat slats. These can be words, a phrase, a motto, or even small images, such as handprints or stars. These additional design options means that every Buddy Bench Neptune Street Furniture produce is bespoke and unique to each individual order.

All of their Buddy Benches and their subsequent Friendship Range, are produced out of recycled plastic lumber, meaning that not only are the products such as benches and planters, great for brightening up a school playground or field, but they are also great for the environment too! Neptune Street Furniture is proud of their work for schools and councils since the 1960’s and are always trying to find new ways to catapult the industry forward.
