St Comgall’s School Belfast

Sash window replacement finished on this B1 listed building which after being abandoned over 20 years ago has went through a 7 million pound renovation which will include exhibition space, a conference hall, courtyard, an historical visitor attraction, offices and café.

The site was occupied by the old Belfast Model School from 1855 until it was destroyed by fire in 1922. The current two story building, known as Comgall’s Public Elementary School, opened in December 1932 and closed in the mid 1990’s.

Part of the restoration was ensuring that the old style sash windows original look was maintained with all frame and fitting being carried out by Declan Stewart joinery meaning new windows must comply with conservation area guidelines and our Slim-Glaze brand of double-glazing has been the number one brand choice to complete these projects and fulfill the requirements set by planning officers.
