Sometimes it''s nice to look back over past projects.

This time last year we were working hard on Netflix''s season 2 release of The Witcher. @beautifulwonderproductions approached us to see if we were up for the challenge of 3D printing a life size Myriapod - a fearsome beast that play a starring role in the series.

It was huge challenge to say the least, the 3D CAD had to be split into printable sections, each section would then need to be adapted, allowing strengthening sections to be added to the complex structure. Printing took around 1 week, split over 10 individual printers using a specifically developed profile.

Our friends at @trick.of.the.eye did a great job on the assembly and finishing the model. All the parts were printed using @filamentive rPLA filament which is made from recycled plastic.

The finished model went inside a 5 meter inflatable to sphere to give the impression of a snow globe. The promotional model went to several major UK cities including London, Birmingham and Glasgow.

It was a privilege to have played such a large role in a project like this and it further cemented our relationship with Beautiful Wonder Productions,TOTE & Filamentive
