Eurovision lands in Liverpool with a little help from Ashbrook Plant Hire

After the success of Sam Ryder in the 2022 Eurovision song contest, Eurovision is heading for Liverpool. Sam’s song, Space Man, came second behind worthy winners, Kalush Stefania from the Ukraine.

This means that due to the war in the Ukraine, the honour of hosting this year has fallen to the UK. Keen to support the unique situation, the slogan ‘United By Music’ has been picked demonstrating the unique partnership between the UK and the Ukraine throughout the event.

Venues have been picked across Liverpool to host both the competition and a rave which will occur simultaneously in both countries. Therefore, an event provider with proven experience of large-scale event delivery was needed.
An ASHBROOK customer was just that provider. Based in the city itself they have over 30 years of experience within the entertainment industry and specialise in event design, site production and event Health & Safety management.

Knowing that ASHBROOK could be trusted to deliver well maintained and excellent quality plant hire, they were soon on the phone discussing the intricate requirements needed to make the job run smoothly.

Fundamental to successful delivery of the event is the ability to be able to deliver large quantities of plant and access hire equipment to tight deadlines on set days and times. Something which is a core skill of ASHBROOK.

Andrew Aldcroft, ASHBROOK Company Director, comments, ‘we’re trusted by many event companies across the UK to supply the plant and access machinery they require, but it does feel extra special to support such a poignant event’.
‘Our fleet is well set up to deal with the needs of the event industry. We have one of the largest independently owned fleets of JCB telehandlers, which can be supplied with grass tyres. Our access equipment comes with a range of fuel sources, electric, hybrid or diesel, and with different tyres for different environments.’

‘Having our own transport division means that we can be flexible on delivery, working to the specification of the client, even on large orders which take multiple lorries. All our fleet is regularly renewed and well maintained ensuring minimal issues arise and should any do so we have the capability to fit or swap a machine very quickly. All of which is key to an event provider’, concludes Andrew.
