David Baileys'' double Hospital refurbishment in Channel Islands

David Bailey Furniture Systems has supplied fitted healthcare furniture worth more than £63,500 for two hospital refurbishment projects in the Channel Islands − its first venture to Jersey and Guernsey.

Two separate contractors selected David Bailey Furniture Systems, one of the UKs'' leading manufacturers of fitted healthcare furniture, to supply fitted furniture for Jersey General Hospital and Princess Elizabeth Hospital in Guernsey.

Award-winning contractors Camerons selected David Bailey Furniture Systems to refurbish Jersey General Hospitals'' consultants’ offices, staff room, reporting office, ultrasound suite and a variety of other office areas in the hospital. Fully moulded wood effect worktops, gloss white doors and chrome handles were selected from the furniture manufacturers'' Healthline range for the furniture installation.

The refurbishment was planned in three phases, with phase two completed in September. David Bailey Furniture Systems now awaits confirmation of the third phase, which is scheduled for February 2010.

Meanwhile contractors Charles Le Quesne, established in the Channel Islands since 1881, selected ‘competitive’ David Bailey Furniture Systems for a two-phase healthcare furniture project at Princess Elizabeth Hospital. The three-month job entailed supplying blue and white doors, worktops, handles and shelving from the Healthline range for the hospitals'' nurses'' office, palliative care area, medical storerooms, general treatment and clinical areas, and exam rooms.

Trevor Gillman, Managing Director for David Bailey Furniture Systems, said;

“David Bailey is a trusted name in NHS and private hospitals after 25 years of supplying fitted hospital furniture to the healthcare sector. It’s great news that our reputation has crossed the Channel and by working with reliable contractors such as Camerons and Charles Le Quesne we have created a more sterile environment with up-to-date facilities that will benefit both staff and patients. Charles Le Quesne mentioned how pleased they were with the quality of our fitted hospital furniture.”
