Grange Valley has manufactured the Concertina Partition the perfect sound reducing, cost effective product for dividing rooms in schools, nurseries, crèches, youth centres and many more venues.

Not only does this product divide rooms, - many clients operating in Schools and the education sector as a whole use this product to simply just hide things, for example: cloakrooms, gym equipment, storerooms, toilets and even canteens/kitchens (since the product also is fire retardant).

We have designed and modified this product around the teaching environment, this means that the product is not only cost effective (that suits all budgets) but it is inspired by many different teacher’s thoughts and needs; most of these are safety features.

For example:

• There is no floor track so children without shoes on cannot cut their feet.
• All profiles are checked for shape corners/edges and filed down.
• There are also no hinges, this prevents the risk of hand trapping or crushing.
• We have applied two-foot bolts and a strap so that children cannot move the partition.
• We have also modified the partitions handles, so that they are out of the reach of small children.
• We have also removed all small parts from the original product to prevent choking hazards.
• This partition is also fire rated.
• We can also add a key and lock system if needed.
• The specialist fabric on this partition is waterproof and marks such as pen, paint and crayon can easily be removed with a wet towel.

Acoustically:
This partition has four different acoustic ratings 15DB, 24DB, 32DB and 35DB.
15DB - If price is the problem, don’t worry. This low acoustic rating is the most cost-effective solution but doesn’t have much acoustic value that is why this particular version is ideal for Cloakrooms, Kitchens, Gym equipment etc. where sound reduction isn’t a priority.

24DB - If you want some acoustic rating but the same extremely cost effective solution as the 15DB this is the ideal version for you. This particular version is ideal for the same as the 15DB but also dividing offices.

32DB - Now if noise is an issue, this is the solution. This acoustic rating is the ideal for classrooms and privacy, this version can also come with a vision panel for classrooms as mentioned by a client.

35DB - The ultimate sound reducing product in the range. This product in our opinion has the equivalent if not better sound resistance, then most of the expensive wooden systems that are in the market.
