The Importance of High-Quality, Robust Bearings
Understanding High Precision Manufacturing
As a world leader in Precise Linear Measurements, Solartron Metrology provides multiple solutions for bearing measurement. We understand the importance of a robust bearing, our very own precision equipment include Solartron built Swiss bearings manufactured using high-quality, high-performance machine tools.Understanding high precision manufacturing and assembly techniques, ensures our products meet the high standards expected by our customers.
What We Can Offer You
Solartron offers various solutions for measurements of bearings, such as Parallel Flexures, Mini Probes, Pencil Probes, and more. Solartron measurement devices, including Contact, Non-Contact, and other 3rd Party devices, can be networked via the Orbit® Digital Measurement Network which allows for the synchronisation of up to 200 sensors at once. Data collection becomes a streamlined process, allowing quick output to PCs and PLCs using various gateways and software.
Parallel Flexures Measuring Ring Bearing
Solartron sensors deliver repeatability of up to 0.05µm, even under a sideload. If bearings are shuffling under a probe during measurement, no precision in reading will be lost. To ensure this, our probes are tested to 13 million cycles under the harshest of conditions, including with a sideload. In the field, they have lasted for hundreds of millions of cycles, without loss to repeatability.
Additionally, Solartron inhouse manufactured probe design includes extra components to support this high performance, including a pin and additional sleeving around the bearings.
Solartron's Most Durable Sensor
Solartron Metrology’s Parallel Flexures can be used for diameter checks of a bearing ring in tougher environments, as their tips are easier to replace. The specialist transducer also possesses an unrivalled durability, ensuring long life and no downtime during the transducer’s use.
Compact Solutions for the Challenge
Another sensor that provides quick and reliable readings is the Mini Probe, which can be used to check the ID of a roller bearing. This compact and low profile specialist transducer is ideal for measurements where a highly accurate and precise reading is required.
