The plastics industry awards

Andel Plastics and No Fuss Fill have made it through to the Finals of the prestigious Plastic Industry Awards.

Within the category of Supplier partnership for tooling. Andel however, not only provided the tooling for the Pet award winning Device, they also carry out all the moulding, assembly, labelling and packaging ready for the end user.

The collaboration between Andel and No Fuss Fill started during lockdown when the Warwick Manufacturing Group had to close it doors. Andel and No Fuss Fill were able to work remotely with virtual meetings and design conversations to complete and refine the product design.

The partnership was cemented when both business owners released they were linked by being previous winners of the Woman Who awards and having a chapter in the book to support the awards. This further fuelled their desire to work together with the aim of keeping the full production of the product within the UK and local.

Injection mould tooling was designed and manufactured in Andel Plastics’ Birmingham based toolroom. The tooling costs were able to be kept competitive by utilising Andel’s standard bolster set for several of the components, which are offered to all customers for us.

Helena Flowers Managing Director said ‘we have been winners and finalists in the PIA awards before, but never in this category. We all love new product design and being able to see something from the early stages, through prototyping, to full production. Then seeing it win awards and in the Pet magazines, and now PIA is great. Also it is a great product, having just acquired a new puppy I use mine everyday!
