Lincoln based laser specialist helps to build funds for BRIC charity
Laser specialist Micrometric chipped in for charity as headline sponsor of the Shooting Star annual Chippy Quiz, helping to raise a total of £1,443 for charity.
At the end of November, 18 teams of keen quizzers were put through their paces in eight categories including general knowledge, pop culture and current affairs, and at half time they enjoyed fish and chips provided by the event hosts The Elite Fish and Chip Company in Lincoln.Every year Lincoln based PR & Marketing agency Shooting Star host its Chippy Quiz in aid of a local charity, and this year for the second year running, Micrometric was the primary sponsor. The event raised just shy of £1,500 for BRIC − Building Resilience in Communities, a worthy charity supporting vulnerable children and their families across Lincolnshire.
As head sponsor, Micrometric donated a generous £1,000 towards the cause, entered a quiz team and crafted the two trophies for overall winners and best team name thanks to its expertise in laser etching.
Commercial Director Chris Waters said: “BRIC is a fantastic charity which helps to improve the lives of children and their families across Lincolnshire. We are proud to sponsor the Chippy Quiz to help them raise funds and awareness so that they can support even more families in the future.”
