Earth Anchors boosts production with new Combilift

Earth Anchors is now the largest stockist of recycled plastic materials in southern England, so efficient and safe material handling is paramount.

To bolster productivity, we proudly introduce our latest addition: the CombLift CBE-3000, an electric multi-directional forklift.

As a company, we are committed to increased productivity and innovation, and over the past three years, we have invested £150,000 in boosting our capacity. The surge in demand for our in-house manufactured recycled plastic furniture, including tables, benches, and bins, prompted our significant and strategic investments in new machinery.

Last year alone at Earth Anchors, we faced the hefty task of unloading 250 tonnes of recycled plastic lumber, necessitating robust machinery. Up to 50 tonnes of recycled plastic lumber is in stock at our warehouse at any one time, so safe handling is essential.

Recycled plastic lumber is used for manufacturing our outdoor furniture and is sold for various projects such as DIY and landscaping projects and commercial decking. Lumber is durable, easy to handle, and resistant to rot, ensuring longevity without the need for maintenance over the years.

Our new forklift effortlessly and safely navigates large quantities of lumber to our saw for swift processing. It boasts a compact design and has the capacity to transport lengthy, hefty loads of up to 3 tonnes sideways, facilitating indoor navigation through our warehouses. Its robust design, multi-directional functionality, low emissions, AC technology, and 4-way wheel positioning render have helped streamline our production processes to meet customer demand.

We have also recently invested in an 8 x 4’ flatbed CNC so that we can cut our table benches to shape quickly and engrave our furniture with memorial inscriptions or company names.

This proactive approach underscores our commitment to meeting burgeoning market demands while maintaining superior quality standards, ensuring our position as a leader in the industry and fostering sustainable growth.
