Reece Clarke Homecoming Event at the Airdrie Town Hall

Royal Ballet’s Principal Dancer, Reece Clarke, returned to his home town of Airdrie last week for two special performances.

The matinee and evening performances took place at the Airdrie Town Hall in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. Reece first performed here at the age of four.

A Harlequin Liberty sprung floor with a Harlequin Cascade performance top surface was chosen for the stage at the town hall. Reece said: “We were so fortunate to have Harlequin’s sprung dance floor for our performances. For a dancer, the stage floor is one of the most important parts of the performance, and having a Harlequin floor covered in their dance vinyl meant we could perform to the highest standards and feel totally at ease knowing that we were in a safe environment. Huge thank you to the Harlequin team.”

Reece and his three brothers trained at the Janis Ridley School of Dance before joining The Royal Ballet School to pursue their dreams of becoming professional ballet dancers.

Senior Stage Manager, Johanna Adams Farley, said: “When I knew that Harlequin would be involved it was, as always, the most reassuring feeling because I knew that one of the most important areas for the dancers would be supported by the very best and they would dance with confidence. The performances were wonderful, and Harlequin’s contribution was immense.”
